Memories v2.0
Over the weekend, I was sifting through some articles that a friend had sent me via twitter (follow us@RadicalMariage). The article topics ranged everywhere from couples devotionals to potty training your kids to hot summer vacation spots. However, there was one that stood out amongst the others.
A father was struggling to find a way to keep track and “archive” special moments that he was having with his family;primarily his young children. He had tried scrapbooking, photo archiving, and even journaling. However, he found himself not being able to stick with it (sound famliar?). His solution? He opened an online email account for his young children. Whenever a great a treasured moment came up, instead of journaling, he simply wrote an email to the account. He did this in hopes that his children, once grown, would be able to log in to this email account and see the incredible moments the family shared together. He shared funny things they had said, pictures they had taken on vacation, and even a few quotes that he found encouraging.
What a great idea! With the use of smartphones, ipods, and mobile computing he was able to keep track and share important moments in his life.
